Starting this year, I am being given more proof that nothing ever lasts.

Not even the water in the ocean. Yes, it's accumulating now more than ever, but every droplet that enters the sea must eventually return to the sky. "The air you breathe is full of ghosts" -- phantom water, dust made of the dead, once whole earth.
